JumpThru was founded in early 2011 with these goals in mind:

• Foster more female-founded companies that use or create technology
• Encourage products and services to be created by women for women
• Facilitate women creating their own wealth by owning successful companies
• Promote women receiving the economic benefit for their actions online

Women are wildly capable

As women, we have complex lives and play many roles. Through out my life, I’ve seen how wildly capable women are as they run companies, raise families and contribute to their communities. All of this vast experience and talent is critical in innovation and business. Women approach discovery and design with a unique and multi-faceted perspective. They know what they want from technology. Women want products and services that will enhance their lives, their work and their relationships while providing a sense of adventure and fun.

Women are innovators in technology

JumpThru is trying new ways to apply the unique perspective women bring to product design and creation. We co-sponsored the first NY weekend-long Hackathon with Girl Develop It where 18 women worked to invent and write the programming code for a new interactive game.

Women are able founders

There are many versions of accelerators today. JumpThru is unique in approach in that its focus is to accelerate the founding and success of women-led companies. In the months ahead, JumpThru will offer new solutions and opportunities for women to collaborate and receive support of various kinds to propel their success. All of our work will be dedicated to realizing the endless possibilities of women founded companies that create new products and services for women using the power of the Internet.
